Aashka - Souvenir and Lifestyle Boutique, The City Palace Complex and Shiv Niwas
Palace conceptualised by Ms. Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur, is a unique
collection of goods designed for today, inspired by Udaipur and its distinct style
of art and craft. A luxury lifestyle store from where one can take with them a memento
of their joyous trip to Udaipur, Mewar.
Aashka a souvenir and lifestyle boutique, the brain child of Ms. Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur opened at Manek Chowk, The City Palace Complex in 2006. After its
resounding success Aashka has now opened a second outlet at Shiv Niwas Palace and
third one has been opened at the Shikarbadi Hotel in 2009. The boutique stocks a
range of life style products made by local crafts people that are associated with
Mewar and its history as well as artefacts specific to the region.
New to Aashka is a collection of Amrapali jewellery handpicked by Ms. Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur.
Established in 1978, Amrapali is synonymous with fine hand crafted jewellery made
of gold and silver. They are the only indian jewellery designers to present their
collection at the yearly fashion weeks in Milan and New York.

Aashka also now stocks a collection of silk kurtas, jholas and cushions
covers from ‘Sadhna’. Specially selected by Ms. Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur, these items
are made by local women participating in a training scheme to develop craft skills.
‘Sadhna’ is one of Seva Mandir’s projects working with rural and tribal people in
and around Udaipur.
Constantly working on new ideas for this unique boutique, Ms. Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur continues
to develop innovative lines including fine textiles and stationery. She will also
be introducing a range of organic products and a selection of beauty products from
Forest Essentials.
