India International Rubber Conference & Expo -2007 held at Mohanalal Sukhadia University, Udaipur
As part of The Asia Rub Tech Expo, The India Rubber Institute, Rajasthan branch, and Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, organized a conference at Auditorium, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. The three-day conference started on 1st November 2007. Its aim was to bring together scientists, industrialists, managers, engineers and other professional bodies working with rubber and allied material technology.

His Excellency Shri S K Singh, Governor of Rajasthan inaugurated the conference. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was also present on the dais as a special guest at the inaugural function. In his address to delegates Shriji referred to the ideal of public and private partnership and said that he hoped the conference would help to promote research and boost the production of rubber in the State. Ramesh Patel, Brakes India Ltd, Mysore, responded by saying it was encouraging to hear such meaningful and useful comments from Arvind Singh Mewar. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar and Professor M L Kalra, Kota Open University were chief guests at the farewell speeches when Shriji told the audience that the State of Rajasthan offers ample opportunity for the advancement of technical education.
On the second day of the conference, Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur hosted a dinner at the palace island of Jagmandir. Dilip Kumar Kulkarni reflected the delegate's appreciation at the end of the evening when he said "The dinner hosted by Arvind Singh Mewar has simply topped our conference. It was really a memorable experience to have enjoyed a sumptuous dinner in such a spectacular setting."
A number of national and international companies and other associations related to the rubber industry participated in an exhibition with HRH Group of Hotels taking a stand at the exhibition site to showcase its properties. Maharaj Kumar Lakshayaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur was also present at the conference. |
Diwali Mela 2007
The Rajasthan Club organized their 40th Diwali Mela on the 3rd and 4th November 2007 at Delhi Haat, Pitampura, New Delhi. This sparkling and colourful Diwali Mela attracts nearly a thousand high society people who attend this major event. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was present as the Club's Chief Guest. The Rajasthan Club is one of the most elite social and cultural clubs in India. Revenue derived from the Diwali Mela will be distributed by The Club to various social welfare projects during the forthcoming year.

70th Birthday Celebrations at the India International Centre, New Delhi
Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended a morning recital of Hindustani classical music by Pandit Jasrajji organized by Mr. Kishan S Rana on the 17th November at the India International Centre on the occasion of his 70th birthday celebrations. Mr. Rana enjoyed an illustrious carrier in the Foreign office. The concert was followed by lunch at the Fountain Lawns of the Club.
