On 2nd October 2008 Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur hosted cocktails at Shambhu Niwas Palace for The Map India Group, an Association of recognised individual national and international high achievers. The group visiting Udaipur included Mr. Dan Sten Olsson, Managing Director and CEO of Stena AB ; Mr. Robert Arthur, Stena Board Member and Chairman of several oil service companies; Mr. Roger Holtback, Ex-production Director of Volvo Cars and banking director; Mr. Stefan Lindskog, former bankruptcy lawyer and specialist in corporate affairs, a member of the Swedish High Court and the High Court of Justice in Sweden. A frequent visitor to Udaipur, Lady Penelope Street attended cocktails on the 4th October hosted by Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur at Shambhu Niwas Palace. With a background in commerce, it was her interest in the arts that inspired Lady Penelope Street to start her Sydney-based company Narrowcasters Pvt. Ltd. 14 years ago. The company specialises in providing audio guide services in museums, observatories, wildlife parks, zoos, aquariums. A Bhajan Sabha ceremony was organised by the Dalmia and Chordia family Foundation in memory of their mother Padmabhushan Dr. Smt. Dineshnandini Ramkrishna Dalmia who passed away in 2006. The evening was organized on 5th October 2008 in, New Delhi. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended the occasion. On 8th October 2008 Pandit Narendra Mishra released a CD of his poetry ' Kaljayi Mewar' and his book 'Amar Bel Balidan Ki' at the Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur in the presence of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur. Pandit Narendra Mishra is also spokesperson of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur was also present on the occasion with Mr. Jagat Mehta and other local dignitaries.

On the 12th October 2008 Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur met Ms. Aryama Sanyal, DGM, Air Traffic Control, Ahmedabad at Shambhu Niwas Palace. On the occasion of their yearly event, The Air Traffic Controllers Guild, India put on an exhibition of aircraft at Shikarbadi Airstrip on the 18th October. School children were invited to watch a display of radio controlled model aero planes presented by Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur.
