Unveiling of a foundation stone at The Promenade, Udaipur
On 1st March 2009 Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot formally launched a Rs. 85 crore project for the preservation and beautification of Lake Pichola at The Promenade, Udaipur. The union government has sanctioned the project under the National Lakes Preservation Scheme. Baojiraj Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur welcomed the Chief Minister at The Promenade after which The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Puja at the project site and unveiled the foundation stone.
After the ceremony, he said that the state government would make sure that all agencies involved in the project would work in close coordination. He said that lakes are the lifeline of Udaipur and every effort would be made to preserve them.

Book launch “Rajasthan…The Industrial March”
On the 17th March, Dainik Bhaskar, India's No 1 leading Hindi newspaper launched a coffee table book “Rajasthan…The Industrial March'. The inauguration took place at SMS Convention Centre, Rambagh Palace, Jaipur. The book was released Mr. Shanti Dhariwal, Home Minister, Government of Rajasthan and is a tribute to the industrial emergence of the state. Baojiraj Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur was present at the launch representing HRH Group of Hotels as the only hotel group, in the state, to be recognized by Dainik Bhaskar. The guest of honour for the occasion was Mr. Rajendra Pareek, Honorable Minister of Industries, Government of Rajasthan.
