Official engagements of Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur

Multidisciplinary International Conference held at Udaipur
As joint co- patron of the Internation Coenference held by Aishwarya Education Society, Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur officially opened the international conference to discuss emerging issues and the global economic situation. The conference took place between the 21st and 24th August and was attended by North England Business Administration Association, USA; Laxpra Foundation, Udaipur; Academy of Well Being Society, Udaipur and Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Dr. Girija Vyas, Member of Parliament was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Retired Lieutenant O. P. Kaushik attended as the special guest. In her welcoming speech Ms. Mewar stressed the importance of such discussions during these turbulent economic times.

World Forum on key rural issues held at Udaipur
Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur attended the inaugural session on the 23rd August of a World Forum on key rural issues affecting Rajasthan as part of an international programme on “Development Dialogues and Dilemmas” organised by Seva Mandir Participants included Ms. Neelima Khetan, Chief Executive Officer, Seva Mandir, Udaipur ; Mr. John M. Bryden, Emeritus Professor; International Rural Network Chairman and Chairman of the IRN Forum International Committee; Professor Jacob John Kattakayam, Kerala University, Trivandrum, Chairman and Convener, IRN South Asia Forum Organizing Committee and IRN South Asia Group; Shri Riyaz Tehsin, President, Vidhya Bhawan Society.

In her address Ms. Mewar told the audience that she was confident that the five day event would provide the academicians and policy makers involved in rural development, health and education policies with an opportunity to exchange ideas on policy and would demonstrate the commitment to social ideals.

On the 15th August Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur and Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur hosted lunch for Mr. Nabankur Gupta and Dr. Gita Parimal at The Gallery Restaurant, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur.
