Official engagements of Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur
Monday 30th August,
1. Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur visited Alakh Nayan Mandir, Udaipur on the 30th August. She was accompanied by Mr. Ankit Khambhati Director, Cheeny Kum Organised Diabetes Center and Ms. Sheryl Shama Salis from Mumbai. Dr. Laxmi Jhala welcomed Ms. Mewar and other guests before giving a short presentation on Alakh Nayan Mandir and its aims & objectives. She explained their various initiatives and association with National and International institutions before showing the guests around the laboratory; Operating theatre and the newly established Child Care Center.
A brief meeting was held to see how to develop Udaipur as a 'Disease Management Center' particularly for diabetes retinopathy patients and also to raise funds for various activities to be executed by Alakh Nayan Mandir.
Later Dr. Laxman Singh Jhala also joined the meeting for further discussions . He also suggested that Cheeny Kum Organised Diabetes Center should submit a proposal to set up a self sustainable project for 'Disease Management Center' at Udaipur.

1. ‘YUGDHARA' A platform for Literary, Cultural and Ideological meeting of people for the Rajasthani Language was organised on the 13th July at Sabha Shiromani ka Darikhana, The City Palace Complex, Udaipur. Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, inaugurated the first meeting at the Chowmukha in the Zenana Mahal, The City Palace Complex Udaipur in presence of Mr. Vishwas Mehta, Director, West Zone Cultural Center, Udaipur. The aim of this programme is to encourage the use of the Rajasthani Language at its “Rajasthani Jajam Ri Gyan Goth” on the second Saturday of each month. In the meeting, writers, poets recited poetry in Rajasthani . The City Palace Museum , under Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation Udaipur, facilitates this meeting regularly which is attended by 15 to 20 people every month. |

Monday 23rd August,
1. Mr. Rajendra Singh Hada, Manager Projects and Mr. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary – Development, MMCF were asked by Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur to visit the site of Omkareshwar Mahadev Temple, Intali Kheda, Tehsil - Salumber, District - Udaipur under Shree Bholanath Mandir Public Trust, along with coordinator of Shree Bholanath Mandir Public Trust, Mr. Harish Narsawat was instructed to supervise and inspect the development and conservation work being carried out under the patronage of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur, Chairman and Managing Trustee, MMCF. Mr. Hada has carried out a study for the new civil works that will take place and will be submitting a report to Shriji for further advice and subsequent action.
