Official engagements of Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur

Wednesday 4th August,
1. A trophy for the Dance Mewar Dance competition was unveiled at Shikarbadi Hotel, Udaipur. Dance Mewar Dance is a joint project of Dainik Bhaskar and D Damas Sandal Jewelers. An exciting cultural performance took place after the lighting of a lamp and the unveiling of the trophy. Eminent dignitaries who attended the evening included Mr. T L Meena, IG; Prof. I V Trivedi, Chancellor, MLSU; Madhu Mehta, District Head; Mr. R P Sharma, Secretary UIT.

Saturday 14th August,
1. 3rd Battalion The Sikh Light Infantry celebrated its 68th Raising Day at Eklingarh Chavani, Udaipur. Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended the celebratory dinner at the invitation of Col. C. Agrawal and Officers.

Sunday 15th August,
1. Maharana Mewar Public School celebrated India's 64th Independence Day. The School Band played a ceremonial welcome tune for the Chief Guest Brigadier Soban Singh SM. Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur welcomed Brigadier Soban Singh SM with a ceremonial garland before he unfurled the National Flag and NCC Cadets formed a Guard of Honour which was followed by a March Past of students. More than 250 students participated enthusiastically in the programme.

A P.T and classical dance performance by Junior students and a Fusion Dance by seniors was applauded. A poetry Recitation by Parth Seth reminded the audience of the past glory of Mewar. Deepanshu Dixit gave a martial art performance before Head Girls, Navni Siroya and Arpita Gupta's speech that was charged with patriotic fervor. They also asked students to take an oath of allegiance to serve their country in which ever field they wished to pursue. Brigadier Soban Singh congratulated pupils on the successful day's programme and said he hoped they would continue to work hard to achieve their goals and contribute to India's important role in the world.

Mr. Mewar presented a Souvenir to the Chief Guest before The programme ended with the National Anthem.
