Filming of architecture series “City Time Traveller” for Channel NewsAsia

Kenneth Ang, Assistant Producer, Xtreme Media flocked at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur for an architecture series called 'City Time Traveller' by the popular Singapore based Channel NewsAsia. The Singapore-based eco-architect, master planner and academic, Prof. Jason Pomeroy (www.pomeroystudio.sg) will be seen trotting across Asia to unravel some of the most awe-inspiring buildings in different cities. He will throw light on what sets these buildings apart and uncover the stories that these magnificent pieces of beauty tell through their facades. The series is being shot in 12 parts in 6 different cities of Asia with Udaipur and Varanasi as the only two shortlisted candidates from India. The focus has been to uncover the relationship between architecture and water as well as Udaipur City Palace's magnificent and culturally rich architecture. The series will begin its telecast on 7th February on Channel NewsAsia.

Ms. Preeti Sahi, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Jawahar Bhawan, New Delhi accompanied by Master Devvrat Sahi visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. She was greeted by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Deputy Secretary MMCF – Administration, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation and Dr. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary – Development, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. Later Ms. Preeti was joined by Ms. Padmaja Kumari Parmar, Executive Director, Business Development, Historic Resort Hotels Pvt. Ltd.

Ms. Preeti left a note of acknowledgement for the City Palace that read, “The outstanding museum shows that this place is the labour of love! Best Wishes.”
