Swaranjali 2016: The Guru Poornima Festival

A Musical tribute to Parmeshwaraji Maharaj Shree Eklingnath ji


The full moon day in the Hindu month of Ashad (July-August) is observed as the auspicious day of Guru Poornima. The word "Guru" in Sanskrit is translated as "dispeller of darkness." Hence the Guru dispels the darkness of ignorance and leads the aspirants on the path to enlghtenment.

 

The day of Guru Poornima is traditionally the time when seekers offer the Guru their gratitude and receive his blessings. On this auspicious occasion 'Swaranjali', a musical tribute to Parmeshwaraji Maharaj Shree Eklingnath ji was offered at Shree Eklingnath ji Temple, Kailashpuri. The event was jointly organised under the banner of Shree Eklingji Trust and Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Kala Trust. Swaranjali is a treat for the connoisseurs of devotional and classical music. Abhishek Aarti, Shringar Aarti, Rajbhog Aarti and Badi Aarti were offered to Shree Eklingnath ji. Later on Saropav were presented to the artists.

Distinguished artists gave their performances at Shree Eklingnath ji Temple.

Classical Vocal by Mr. Shambhu Prasad, Ms. Piu Sarkhel and Mr. Prasad Khaparde. Flute Jugalbandi by Ms. Debopriya and Ms. Suchismita and Sitar by Mr. Shubhendra Rao. The artist were supported by Mr. Sudhir Yardi on Harmonium, Mr. Hitendra Dixit on Tabla, Mr. Vijay Kumar Dhandra on Sarangi, Ms. Sampa Sarkar and Dr. (Ms.) Surbhi Arya on Tanpura.

Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar accompanied by Mrs. Nivritti Kumari Mewar and Miss. Mohlakshika Kumari Mewar offered their prayers to Shree Eklingnath ji in the evening.
