National Tourism Award to Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur and Gajner Palace, Gajner, Bikaner
The Ministry of Tourism annually presents National Tourism Award to various segments of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. These awards are being given since the early 1990s and are presented to State Governments / Union Territories, classified hotels, heritage hotels, approved travel agents, tour operators and tourist transport operators, individuals and other private organizations in recognition of their performance in their respective fields and also to encourage healthy competition with an aim to promote tourism. The National Tourism Awards have over the years emerged as a prestigious recognition of achievements in the travel, tourism and hospitality sector.
Two flagship hotels of HRH Group of Hotels, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur and Gajner Palace, Gajner, Bikaner was awarded the National Tourism Awards for the year 2014-2015
Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Executive Director, HRH Group of Hotels received the National Tourism Award in the 'Best Heritage Hotel (Grand)' category for Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur with Mr. Chhatrasal Singh Baghela, Manager, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur and the 'Best Heritage Hotel (Basic)' Category for Gajner Palace, Gajner, Bikaner with Mr. Madan Singh Shekhawat, Executive General Manager - Northern Region, HRH Group of Hotels.
The awards were presented by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge), Tourism (Independent Charge) and Civil Aviation with the Chief Guest Ms. Sumitra Mahajan, Lok Sabha Speaker. The event was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi and organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
The award ceremony was attended by several dignitaries from the hotel, tourism and service industry.
