A warm evening with a guest from Ayodhya

Rajkumar Yatinder Mohan Pratap Mishra of Ayodhya called on Shriji at Shambhu Niwas Palace, Udaipur. Shri. Mishra has written four collections of Hindi poetry titled Yada-Kada, Ayodhya Tatha Anya Kavitayein, Dyorhi Par Aalaap and Vibhas along with a translation of Bhairavi by the 12th century Lingayat mystic poet Akka Mahadevi. He has also written about the life and work of Thumri singer Girija Devi, danseuse Sonal Mansingh and Shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan. He is the recipient of many awards including the Bharatiya Janapitha fellowship, the Raza Award, the Bharat Bhushan Agarwal Smriti Puraskar and Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Yuva Puraskar. His most recent work includes Humsafar, which charts 100 years of music in Hindi cinema. He is currently writing a book on Indian playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.
