MMCF supporting 'Free Patients' Ward' at Alakh Nayan Mandir, Eye Institute

MMCF, Udaipur is supporting the entire development of 'Free Patients' Ward' at Alakh Nayan Mandir, Eye Institute, Pratap Nagar Extension, Airport Road, Udaipur, an integral part of Alakh Nayan Mandir, Ashok Nagar, Durga Nursery Road, Udaipur. This ward is spread over 2500 sq ft on 1st floor with 48 beds, nursing care station and examination room.

Alakh Nayan Mandir, Udaipur, Rajasthan is a public charitable trust and a well-known name in the field of eye care services established in 1997. Major objectives are provide eye care of paramount quality to all segments of society, especially socially backward and deprived section of the society; to provide free or subsidized treatment to those who cannot afford it; to propagate the concept of 'Quality' Eye Care amongst professionals; to render outreach ophthalmic services in remote villages and to contribute for the success of National Program for Control of Blindness. They are coming up with a World Class Eye Centre, which is deploying international standards to spur efficiency, improve patient safety & satisfaction and ensure resource optimization to lower costs, at Pratap Nagar Extension, Airport Road, Udaipur. This institute commenced it services in the new campus from 17 March 2016 and has been fully functional since October 2016. It is endeavouring to become a hub for comprehensive quality care in Rajasthan and its neighbouring states at an affordable cost.

Alakh Nayan Mandir has done over 82400 operations in which 60% are absolutely free for economically and socially under privileged and marginalized society, mainly comprising of tribals; over 7.70 lakhs treatments in which 40% free; 2832 Free Eye Check-up camps in and around nearby areas of Udaipur with a mission of Blindness Prevention and Sight Restoration.

MMCF supporting specially abled by donating motorized wheel chair

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Udaipur was instituted to serve and assist each and every individual to realize a special status in the hierarchy of God's creation and the commitment in 'pursuit of excellence'. The Foundation was founded upon principles of trusteeship which are its underlying structure and strength. 'Dan' has been at the root of the system of custodianship at Mewar and remains the guiding essence of the Foundation. This is evident from the Toran Dwar being chosen as its symbol - an elegant edifice created to mark remarkable instances of charity being given in the past. Today, one of the Foundation's biggest outgoing expenses is charity being done through its direct donations to causes, such as, support to scholarships, endowments, pension schemes and medical aid, thus fulfilling directly many of the objectives. In keeping the objective of the organization to promote and encourage excellence in various walks of life and to help the needy without discrimination or favour but on the basis of the cause. MMCF donated a motorised wheelchair for specially abled Mr. Rajendra Mehta who is presently working as Junior Officer in State Bank of India, Udaipur.
