Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar and Mrs. Nivritti Kumari Mewar attended the All India Mushaira (poetic symposium) at Shilpgram, Udaipur. Mr. Mewar presided over the symposium. As per Mohammad Furqan, Director, WZCC that the programme hosted noted poets (shayar) like Hassan Kamal, Rahat Indauri (Indore), Tahir Faraj (Rampur), Shakeel Azmi (Mumbai), Sheen Kaif Nizam (Jodhpur), Madan Mohan Danish (Gwalior), Azam Shakari (Eta) ), Dr. Mehtab Alam (Bhopal), Moin Shadab (Delhi), Abrar Kashif (Amravati-Nizamat), Atik Anjar (Qatar-U.A.E.), Lata Hya (Mumbai), Dr. Nusrat Mehndi (Bhopal) , Malka Nasim (Jaipur), G.K. Bansal (Allahabad), Jaya Tonki (Tonk), Shakeeluddin Shakeel (Jaipur), Khalid Jaipuri (Jaipur) will present their Kalam and Shero Shayari. Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. J.P Sharma, Chancellor, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. The event was organized by West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC) in collaboration with Rajasthan Urdu Academy.

Unveiling the poster of Earth Hour 2017

Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar unveiled the poster titled 'Super Hero' for Earth Hour 2017, a shout out to switch off lights and join with the million others around the globe in celebrating the Earth Hour which aims to encourage Individuals, organisations, Institutions and Government to go beyond the hour and turn off non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to save the planet. The unveiling was held at The City Palace, Udaipur. Mr. Arun Soni from WWF Udaipur was also present for the occasion. A global initiative of World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Earth Hour is a worldwide movement at the grass root level uniting the people to protect the planet. Earth Hour 2017 was held on Saturday 25th March between 8.30PM and 9.30PM.
