Polishing the Statue of Maharana Pratap

MMCF as per routine has undertaken the work of polishing the Statue of Maharana Pratap at Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok, Udaipur. Mr. Budhdev Parida from Haridwar with the help of MMCF Project Team did the polishing work on 18th February 2018.

Translation and printing of Haqiqat Bahida's

Maharana Mewar Research Institute is in process of transcribing the Haqiqat Bahida's of Maharana Bheem Singh (r.1778 - 1828). The work is being done by Ms. Sarita Shrimal, an ex-employee of MMCF now in Jodhpur. The work is also in progress on the Haqiqat Bahid's of Maharana Sardar Singh (r.1838-1842). The Haqiqat Bahida's of Maharana Bhupal Singh (r.1930-1955) is under printing and will be out to publish this month. The transcribing part of the Haqiqat Bahida's of Maharana Swarup Singh (r.1842- 1861) is also in progress with English translation being done by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Administrator in Chief, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur.

Developments in Maharana Mewar Special Library

Maharana Mewar Special Library is a world-class special library with collection of more than 34418 books of different varieties till date. Library has special collection of books on Literature, Religion, History, Arts, Zoology, and General Geography about different part of India and globe and rare collection of books on Mewar dynasty.

Almost 26 new books were received in the month of February and all the books were processed in Accession Register. Classification done by Dewey decimal classification 19th Rev. Edition, Cataloguing (AACR II) and Bibliography; details uploaded in Library housekeeping software. Libsys and Eternal Mewar web site http://eternalmewar.in/mmsl. Stamping, tagging and scanning.

Library has subscribed to 8 no. newspapers, (4 in Hindi and 4 in English) and 11 no. Magazines, which were daily recorded and kept in their proper place. Library main users are research scholars and official users.

The Feb 18 editions include the books on Mewar History “Rani Padmini”- Chittor ka pratham Jauhar” by Brajendra Kumar Singhal and Mundmaal: Hada Rani ke balidan- Prasang par etihasik kavyakriti by Narayan Lal Bhatt and “Manaku of Guler” by B. N. Goswamy- The (Life and work of great Indian painter) and it also includes the special book “101 Automotive Jewels of India” by Gautam Sen and Markarand Baokar. This Book has the articles on Royal Mewar Family on page no. 17, 25, 120-123.
