On 25th March 2018 SVSN organized a monthly medical health check-up camp for the widows at Theosophical Society. In this camp Dr. Arun Bordia and Dr. Maina Jain examined the patients. Mr. Surajmal Porwal tested blood sugar and blood pressure. Free medicines were given for a month as prescribed by doctors.

Supporting Saksham Project of Yuva Pahal, Pali, Rajasthan

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, The City Palace, Udaipur is supporting the Saksham Project of Yuva Pahal, Pali to organize skill training project for the girls of Government Senior Secondary School based at Rohat, Pali, Rajasthan. The objective of Yuva Pahal is to empower every girl and woman through skill and education so that she can support her family. Empowering means make them capable in every aspect hence we call it - Being Saksham.

In the month of March 2018, learners had the exposure of new courses of Mobile Repairing, beautician and make-up artist for the needy and unemployed youth and women. Students also had classes of the use of the computer, how to operate the computer and get the information about latest trends and technique in Fashion Design so that they can align themselves with demand of modern knowledge in Dress Designing Making.

Rajasthan Day Celebrations

On the occasion of Rajasthan Day on 30th March 2018, the City Palace Museum, Udaipur organized various cultural programs and an Exhibition at Zenana Mahal from March 23rd 2018 to April 7th 2018.

The significance of this day is that on 15th August 1947 - India gained independence from British rule at that point the princely states had to choose to accede to India or Pakistan or remain independent. The twenty two princely states of what would become Rajasthan were annexed to India, but their actual unification took almost a decade. On 25th March 1948 - The Rajasthan Union consisting of nine princely states was inaugurated. On 18th April 1948 - The United State of Rajasthan was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, after Udaipur joined the Rajasthan Union. The formal ceremony took place in The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur. Maharana Bhupal Singh of Udaipur was appointed the Rajpramukh (Governor) on 30th March 1949 - Udaipur's decision to merge prompted the other large princely states to join as well, leading to the formation of Greater Rajasthan. It was formally inaugurated then Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 30th March 1949 in Udaipur. This is now celebrated as Rajasthan Day. Maharana Bhupal Singh of Udaipur was appointed the Maha-Rajpramukh. 1st November 1956 - The process of merger and unification of twenty two princely states into Rajasthan was completed.
