Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk was an initiative taken forward by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur with the support from Udaipur Municipal Corporation. MMCF in its Outreach Programmes has encouraged many such events. As per the ongoing initiatives the 'Ahar' Udaipur Heritage Walk was organised on 14th April 2018. MMCF's goal is to be a world leader in heritage conservation and community inclusion. The Foundation often has to generate its own benchmarks for this goal. MMCF is keen to share its best-practice and conservation experience that has an ambitious knowledge transfer initiative in addition to its implementable conservation programme.

BASAS annual conference

Dr. Neeraja Poddar, Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, presented a paper titled "Visuality and Materiality in Mewar's First Illustrated Bhagavata" at the British Association for South Asian Studies annual conference held at the University of Exeter, U.K., April 18-20, 2018.

Conservation of arms and armour

Dr. Vandana Singh and Prof. Sukhvir Singh from the Center of Conservation and Research Expert LLP, New Delhi, have started the conservation work of the arms and armour collection of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur in April. Traditional sword craftsmen from the Sikligar community are also working with them.

World Book Day-2018 - Book Exhibition 2018'

Maharana Mewar Historical Publications Trust, Udaipur organized a Book Exhibition on the occasion of 'World Book Day-2018' dated 23rd April 2018 at Sabha Shiromani Ka Darikhana, Mardana Mahal, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. Researchers, academicians and visitors participated in 'World Book Day - Book Exhibition 2018'. MMHPT displayed books on the topic of History of Mewar, History of Rajasthan, Hindi Literature, Religious Literature, Art and Culture, Bhakt Shiromani Meera, Maharana Pratap etc.
