Augmented Reality App - AR The City Palace, Udaipur

The City Palace Museum, Udaipur is proud to present the first Augmented Reality App - 'AR The City Palace, Udaipur'. An augmented reality app was launched on the occasion of International Museum Day on 18th May 2018 to help visitors experience the Living Heritage of Mewar.

The application is currently available on the Google Play Store and shortly will be arriving on the Apple Store. The trackers for this application are available at Rai Anagan and Mor Chowk, Mardana Mahal; two historically significant places in the Palace. This app gives you an amazing experience about the art, culture and history in museums across India.

Augmented Reality is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing an experience of a real-world environment whose elements are "augmented" by computer-generated perceptual information, Sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory and haptic view.

This app lets you explore the augmented views of the historical rituals and events that took place at The Palace, Udaipur. The story line of the app depicts about the coronation ceremony of Maharana Fateh Singh (r. 1884 - 1930 CE) of Udaipur in the year 1884 held at coronation courtyard called Rai Angan situated at Mardana Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur. The app is developed by Mr. Cedric D'souza, D's Interactive, Udaipur, Rajasthan.
