Plenary session III Kahani, Parampara, aur Bhavishya: Oral traditions, their role and impact The session 'Kahani, Parampara, aur Bhavishya: Oral traditions, their role and impact', was moderated by Ms. Sumedha Verma Ojha, an authority on the epic Ramayana. Ms. Tripti Pandey, Rajasthan's Cultural Ambassador and author; Dr. Rima Hooja, archaeologist-historian and writer; Dr. Toolika Gupta, director, Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur and Ms. Deshna Mehta, co-founder of Anugraha, Mumbai shared their experiences and case studies. The audience was led through the cultural heritage of Rajasthan, Gujarat and the vast Indo-Gangetic hinterland where melas, festivals and traditions abound. |
