The results for the Photography Competition titled 'Museum Moments and Monuments' organized by The City Palace Museum, Udaipur from 19th August- 10th September 2018 were disclosed on the Museum's social media platforms. The winners are Mr Ayush Tailor, Mr Amish Jain and Mr Dilip Bhalerao. |

Gaurav Gatha Maharana Raj Singh Ki - a tale of valour and diplomacy
The 389th birth anniversary of Maharana Raj Singh (1629 - 1680) was celebrated with great enthusiasm, pomp and show in The City Palace, Udaipur. On this occasion the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation organized exhibitions and also a performance of the play "Gaurav Gatha Maharana Raj Singh Ki" at The City Palace on 26th Oct 2018.
The play was written and directed by theatre artist Mr. Vilas Janve. Shriji graced the function to make this occasion more special.
Significant episodes from the life of Maharana Raj Singh ji were enacted in the play. The play was designed in a story telling format by Mr. Vilas Janve, the playwrite and the director, who himself played the role of Kathavachak (the story teller) and explained the important aspects of the story through his narrations full of emotions. Mr. Manish Sharma as Maharana Raj Singh; Mr. Abdul Mubin Khan, as Aurangzeb justified their roles to make the presentation very interesting.
The play was a joint effort of Martand Foundation and the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation.
The exhibition depicting the life of Maharana Raj Singh I were placed at Western side, Lakshmi Chowk, The Zenana Mahal; Moti Magari, Udaipur; Raj Singh Panorama, Kankroli; Fateh Prakash Museum, Chittorgarh and Shree Vallabh Ashram, Nathdwara from 25 October - 30 November 2018.
