Visit of National Cadet Corps

A group of 600 cadets from National Cadet Corps visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on 29th December 2018. The cadets from Bikaner, Orissa and other states from the Country were in Udaipur for NCC Annual Camp 2018-19. The group was briefed and welcomed by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Administrator in Chief, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. The trip was organised by the Government of India and Indian Army.

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk was an initiative taken forward by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur with the support from Udaipur Municipal Corporation. MMCF in its Outreach Programmes has encouraged many such events. As per the ongoing initiatives, the 'Ahar' Udaipur Heritage Walk was organised on 22nd December 2018 on the occasion of The 4th World Living Heritage Festival - 2018. MMCF's goal is to be a world leader in heritage conservation and community inclusion. The Foundation often has to generate its own benchmarks for this goal. MMCF is keen to share its best-practice and conservation experience that has an ambitious knowledge transfer initiative in addition to its implementable conservation programme. The walk was attended by 5 people.

Visit of Dr. Dipti Khera

Dr. Dipti Khera (Assistant Professor of Art History, Department of Art History, New York University) visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur from 15th to 24th December, 2018. During her visit, she saw the ongoing work on Mewar paintings in the Conservation Laboratory. She, along with the Conservators, examined the paintings both from art historical and conservation perspectives, looking into the artist's intention and other finer details of Mewar paintings.

MMCF Outreach

Felicitating the winners of the Photography Competition 2018

The winners of the Photography Competition 2018; Mr Ayush Tailor, Mr Amish Jain and Mr Dilip Bhalerao called on Shriji at Shambhu Niwas Palace on 12th December 2018 and were felicitated and awarded. The competition, themed Museum Moments and Monuments, was open to participation from 19th August to 10th September 2018.
