Scholarships and Financial Assistance

Donation has been a core policy under the custodianship in Mewar and remains the guiding essence of the Foundation. It means contribution which is explained in great detail in our ancient scriptures and is unconditional. It is given to the deserving and those in need, from legitimately earned wealth, with no regrets and with no intention of achieving fame or expecting favours in return. In keeping the objective of the organization to promote and encourage excellence in various walks of life and to help the needy without discrimination or favour but on the basis of the cause; also scholarships are awarded to students at every level of education, from primary school to postgraduate research scholars. In many cases, had it not been for the intervention of the trust, the individual students' academic career would have come to a halt. Both men and women applicants are treated fairly and without bias. The numbers can range from a single scholarship granted to one student to cover their entire course of graduate studies or, to a number of students to help subsidies school / college fees.

Donations

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has provided donation in favour of Amardip Sarvajanik Trust of Himmatnagar, Gujarat for supporting specially able children. Continuing welfare towards humanity the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has contributed for combating against and relief work done in the Covid-19 pandemic.

Financial Assistance


Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh 'Sanjay'

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has provided financial assistance in the month of March - 2020 in favour of former Maharana Kumbha Awardee 2019, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh 'Sanjay' for research work on the history of Mewar.

The Palace Calendars 1987-2018, book published under the patronage of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur is a compilation of all the calendars from the year 1987 to 2018 with details in Hindi and English language.

This book features some chronicled articles on the culture, tradition, history and living heritage of Mewar, like as the coins issued by The Maharanas of Mewar; Power of Lord Shiva in different forms of Shakti (Deities); The Royal Insignias of the State of Mewar; Traditionally rolled Betel Leaf of Mewar and its uses on different occasions; Historical Arms of the Mewar Dynasty and many more. The main objective of this publication is to encourage and disseminate research work in areas as diverse as Indian history, culture and literature. The book is published by Maharana Mewar Historical Publication Trust.

Story of continuous development at Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, The City Palace 1969 - 2019.

In 1969, His Highness Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar of Udaipur established the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) on the principles of trusteeship, the foundational base of the 1500 years old House of Mewar. As its 75th Custodian, he ensured that MMCF is rooted in the core values of service to the community, respect for mankind, upholding self-reliance and self-respect in its fifth decade of operations now, MMCF has come a long way upholding the vision and objectives of its founding Chairman and Managing Trustee. Today, it stands as a professionally managed organisation, adhering to statutory and ethical norms of modern governance with the 76th custodian of House of Mewar, Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar providing leadership as Chairman and Managing Trustee since 1984.
