Scholarships and Grants

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Udaipur was instituted to serve and assist each and every individual to realize a special status in the hierarchy of God's creation and the commitment in 'pursuit of excellence'. Today, one of the Foundation's biggest outgoing expenses is towards charity that is being done through its direct donations to causes, such as support to scholarships, endowments, pension schemes and medical-aid, thus directly fulfilling many of the objectives. In keeping with the objective of the organization to promote and encourage excellence in various walks of life and to help the needy without discrimination or favour, but on the basis of the cause; scholarships are awarded to students at every level of education, from primary school to postgraduate research scholars. In many cases, had it not been for the intervention of the trust, the individual students' academic career would have come to a halt. All applicants are treated fairly and without bias. The numbers can range from a single scholarship granted to one student to cover their entire course of graduate studies or, to a number of students to help subsidize school/ college fees. The trust has also sponsored and subsidized fees for the presentation of research papers at symposiums both in India, and across the globe.

Scholarships were granted to Mr. Tashaang Nimawat of 11th standard of Maharana Mewar Public School, and Ms. Tanushree Mahrishi, student of class 6th of St. Paul's Senior Secondary School.

Medical Assistance

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has provided medical assistance to Mr. R.K. Shetty, Udaipur for the alleviation of his suffering. Similarly, medical assistance was given to Mr. Gagan Babbar for liver transplant, Mr. Santosh Kumar Gameti for the medical treatment of his daughter who was suffering from cardiac problem and to Mr. Shakeel Mohammed Bhishti for his heart operation.

Charitable Dispensary and Medical Aid

Medical Aid is an important activity of the MMCF. Citizens of the region can apply to it for medical benefits and assistance. The Staff's yearly medical checkups are also organized by the Foundation. MMCF runs a charitable dispensary, which operates all year round. It aims to provide free medical advice and medicines to the needy that are unable to pay for medical treatment. A total number of 1297 patients were treated in the months of January 2021 - June 2021.

Supporting Saksham Project of Yuva Pahal, Pali, Rajasthan

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has provided financial assistance to support 'Project Saksham', for the year 2020-21. The project is an initiative of Yuva Pahal and aims at providing skill training program for girls at Rohat, Pali, Rajasthan.

Yuva Pahal is an emerging NGO of Rajasthan engaged in the social development and women empowerment through integrated family welfare and livelihood projects. Since its inception from year 2005, Yuva Pahal has trained 5900 youth and women from rural and urban areas through its various skill training programs in various districts across Rajasthan. Yuva Pahal believes that building livelihoods through microenterprises for girls and women is one of the remarkable steps towards sustainability; improving household income and creating jobs where these are actually required. Their centre has trained numerous women and girls during these years through support from MMCF.
