Visit of Para Swimmers, Belagavi,Karnataka

A group of para swimmer from Belagavi, Karnataka visited the City Palace, Udaipur on 27th March 2022. The visit was supported by MMCF.

Collaboration with USIEF (United State India Educational Foundation)

CLEA/Fulbright-Nehru grant awardee, Mr. Jordan LaMothe, is presently conducting research on 'ron and Ornament: Production and decoration of hand-forged metalwork in Rajasthan, India,' at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. The grant comes under USIEF's (United State India Educational Foundation) student researcher program. The City Palace Museum, MMCF, Udaipur is affiliated with this project, facilitating Mr. LaMothe with information of the arms collection at the Museum. He will pursue his studies under the guidance of Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, for a duration of 9 months, beginning 10th April 2022. Mr. LaMothe is a student of Williams College, Massachusetts, USA.

Conference at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal

INTACH, Udaipur Chapter and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, Udaipur jointly organized a one day conference on 18th May 2022 at their Museum, on the occasion of International Museum Day. Many scholars from various institutions were present at the conference. MMCF representatives at the conference included Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator and Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator. Dr. Seth presented the works and activities of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur in correlation with the ICOM theme.

Online Expert Talk on Power of Museums

On the occasion of International Museum Day, 18th May 2022, Centre for Museums and Documentation, Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner organized an online lecture, in joint collaboration with The City Palace Museum, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, on lines of ICOM's 2022 theme of 'Power of Museums.' Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur presented the works and activities of the Museum that demonstrated the Power of Museums. Dr. Meghna Sharma, Director, Centre for Museums and Documentation, was the organizing secretary of the event. A formal vote of thanks was delivered by the Museum's Assistant Curator, Ms. Chelsea Santos.
