Kartik Poornima celebration 2023: MMCF Celebrates with Music at The City Palace

The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) illuminated the full moon night of Kartik Poornima 2023 with a mesmerizing instrumental performance at the Baadi Mahal in The City Palace, Udaipur on 27th November 2023. Dedicated to Lord Brahma, resonated with the rich cultural heritage of Mewar and the essence of this auspicious festival.

Kartik Poornima, also known as Dev-Deepavali, holds special significance for Hindus. Observed on the full moon night of the month Kartik (October-November), it's a time for celebration, worship, and reflection. Hindus traditionally mark the occasion through fasting, sacred baths, lamp lighting, and temple visits, offering prayers to deities like Kartikeya and Lord Brahma. For MMCF, Kartik Poornima transcends a mere festival. It becomes a stage for preserving diverse forms of heritage, tangible and intangible. The Baadi Mahal performance served as a vibrant example, highlighting MMCF's commitment to Promoting Tourism in Udaipur, Nurturing Local Talent and Preserving Mewar's Cultural Legacy. Mr. Dharesh Pandya's soulful flute notes, complemented by the rhythmic beats of Mr. Uttam Pandya's tabla and the mesmerizing ripples of Mr. Nandlal Gandharv's jal tarang, with Mr. Kapil Gandharv on Tabla transported the audience to a realm of serene enchantment.
