Rangoli – A Food Festival
In keeping with the spirit of Holi, for the second year running HRH Group of Hotels
presented Rangoli – a Food Festival at Palki Khana, the European style café
at The Manek Chowk in the City Palace Complex. Included in its culinary choice of
food, the festival captured the colours and flavours of the festival of Holi. The
chefs at Palki Khana created a selection of Indian dishes. The thematic décor
for the Food Festival reflected the red and white of Phagania, the traditional colours
worn by women during the month of Phagun. Both local and international guests enjoyed
the festival. Holi occupies a pride of place in the calendar of Regal Festivals
organized every year by the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. Ashwa Poojan
