The City Palace Preface

Kanch Ki Burj

Maharana Fateh Singh was the last Maharana to use these rooms as his private residence. In the inner hall of Dilkhushal Mahal, the walls are adorned with numerous miniature paintings of the Mewar School directly fixed on the walls. On the northern side is Kanch Ki Burj (Glass room) displaying very attractive glass inlay work on the walls with Mewar Colours of red and white glass in zigzag pattern. The dome and the floor are also fitted with mirrors and the door has ivory inlay work on it. The Maharanas had used it as their bedroom in bygone era. Maharana Karan Singh built this part of the Palace and the decorative glass inlay work was added later during the reign of Maharana Shambhu Singh.

Philanthropy

Charitable Dispensary and Medical Aid

Medical Aid is an important activity of the MMCF. MMCF runs a charitable dispensary, which operates all year round. The Staff's yearly medical checkups are also organized by the Foundation. Citizens of the region can apply to it for medical benefits and assistance. It aims to provide free medical advice and medicines to the needy that are unable to pay for medical treatment. A total number of 663 patients were treated in the month of March 2024 and 269 patients were treated in the month of April 2024.

Financial Assistance

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation has provided financial assistance to Mr. Deepak Choubisa, and Ms. Chandra Kunwar Bhati in the month of March 2024 and Mr. Kishan Lal Gurjar and Mr. Mahesh Kasara in the month of February 2024.

Unveiling the Statue of Maharana Pratap at Rajoda, Dewas

The unveiling ceremony of the statue of the revered Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap took place at Pratap Square organized by the Maharana Pratap Youth Organization in Rajoda, Dewas on 01st March 2024. The striking statue depicting Maharana Pratap astride his legendary horse, Chetak, was unveiled by Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation.

During the ceremony, Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar addressed the gathered audience, highlighting Maharana Pratap's pivotal role as the country's first freedom fighter. He emphasized that 448 years ago, on June 18, 1576, Maharana Pratap valiantly fought against foreign invaders in the historic battle of Haldighati. His unwavering courage and determination in defending the Sanatan religion-culture and raising the national flag serve as a beacon of inspiration for the youth and future generations. Maharana Pratap's legacy continues to inspire individuals to make sacrifices for the freedom and dignity of our nation.
