Later in the evening, French Ambassador to India Dr. Thierry Mathou, accompanied by his wife, visited the City Palace Museum in Udaipur. During their tour, the Ambassador and his wife explored all the galleries of the museum, immersing themselves in the rich history and cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

At the end of their visit, Dr. Thierry Mathou wrote in the visitors' book, expressing his admiration for the museum's exceptional curation and maintenance. He highlighted the City Palace Museum's remarkable testimony to the history of Rajasthan, emphasizing his pride in the partnership between the City Palace of Udaipur and Château de Chambord in France.

Both monuments were built in the 16th century by visionary kings, underscoring the shared history and cultural connections between India and France.

Training Program for CPM Security Personnel

The Museum Conservators, Ms. Anuja Mukherjee and Ms. Bhasha Shah, conducted a comprehensive training program for The City Palace Museum, Udaipur's security personnel on June 15th and 17th, 2024, at the MMCF Conference Hall. The participants were introduced to the museum's diverse collection of artifacts, focusing on their material composition and the risks they face from damage during and after emergencies. This was followed by an interactive session where the conservators demonstrated safe handling techniques for artifacts during emergencies and strategies for salvaging them afterwards. The program concluded with a mutual exchange of experiences, with the security staff showing great enthusiasm for learning and taking responsibility for safeguarding the museum's artifacts.
