Heritage Conservation and Promotion Udaipur ke Sur aur Rang: Celebrating 55 Years of MMCF On October 20, 2024, the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) celebrated its 55th anniversary with the event Udaipur ke Sur aur Rang (Music and Colour of Udaipur), honoring the rich heritage of Mewar. Established in 1969 by Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar, MMCF has been dedicated to preserving Udaipur's cultural legacy. The celebration featured a live demonstration of Jal Sanjhi, a traditional water-painting technique that has been revived in Udaipur, performed by artist Mr. Rajesh Pancholi. The event was further enriched by the music of the Ravanahatha, played by Mr. Harphool Ramnayak, alongside traditional songs performed by the Baiji, whose melodies have graced royal gatherings for generations. |
Udaipur ke Sur aur Rang exemplifies MMCF's mission to keep Mewar's living heritage vibrant, ensuring that its traditions continue to thrive for future generations.
