International Sculpture Day 2026

On 25th April 2026, City Palace Museum marked International Sculpture Day with a special workshop for 15 students from Maharana Mewar Public School. Dr. Hansmukh Seth opened the session with a short introduction, after which Ms. Urmila Vyas led a guided tour of the Sculpture Gallery highlighting stories and symbolism connected to Lord Vishnu. Students then took part in a hands-on clay workshop at Sabha Shiromani ka Darikhana, led by summer intern Ms. Darshita Sompura on the theme of Vishnu's lotus-exploring the lotus as a metaphor for growth and life. The activity was supported by Ms. Priyanka Seth, Ms. Urmila Vyas, and Ms. Lakshi Jain.

Global Museum Artist Mukesh Parihar and Daughter Manali Parihar Call on Shriji

On 25th April 2026, Ms. Manali Parihar, accompanied by her father, the distinguished artist Mr. Mukesh Parihar, paid a courtesy visit to Shriji Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar at The City Palace, Udaipur. Mr. Mukesh Parihar is a renowned artist who has spent the last decade collaborating with prestigious museums across the UK and USA.

The meeting featured an enriching exchange regarding global art conservation, heritage presentation, and the international appreciation of Indian artistry.
