Built using traditional styles of architecture the hotel design and layout was inspired by the surrounding desert.

Accommodation
64 Rajasthani-style air conditioned deluxe rooms and 3 luxury suites. All rooms have been recently renovated to a high standard with new upholstery and curtains, beds and bed linen. LCD TV, has also now been installed. Suites now provide Hospitality Trays with tea and coffee. New hair dryers, bathroom scales, together with the latest fittings, flooring and tiling provide a modern look to the bathrooms
New furnishings in the lobby create a soothing blend of harmonious spaces.
This yellow sandstone building boasts a large central swimming pool around which the rooms are located. New planting and grass lawns have enhanced the surrounding area.

Fine dining
The hotel's main restaurant has now been enlarged and serves an eclectic cuisine of succulent Rajasthani delicacies particular to this dessert kingdom as well as Indian and Continental a la carte meals.
Lunches and dinners are also served at the poolside and dining can be organised, on request, at the Chandani Terrace and for groups on the Bageecha lawns. A stage has been constructed at The Taal in the garden area for dance and music performances.
The Gorbandh Palace can organise a special dinner at the dunes with folk dance and music. This can be arranged for both groups and individual travellers. These spectacular dunes are located 40km west of Jaislamer. The venue is lit with Mashals and a bonfire. Local artists sing traditional Rajasthani folk tales and Kalbelia dancers perform for guests who are usually seated on mattresses with bolsters. Rajwadi barbeque is served on bazots (small tables) placed in front of the guests. The Menu includes local dishes of Lal Maas, Jaisalmeri Gatta curry and Ker Sangari with dal Bati Churma. The evening ends with a firework display; guests usually departing on a camel cart to their vehicles.

Conference facilities
For the corporate tourist, the comfortable Darikhana Conference hall is equipped with audio-visual technical support. The vast compound attached to the hotel permits conferences and seminars to be held on a grand scale.
