Sewage Treatment Plant at Gajner Palace, Gajner, Bikaner
Gajner Palace is a Grand Heritage Palace Of The HRH Group of Hotels. Spread Over 6000 acres, the Palace is a 30-Minute drive from Bikaner. Gajner Palace was built on the banks of Gajner Lake by Sir Ganga Singhji, one of the Greatest Maharajas of Bikaner, in the early decades of the twentieth century.

The Red Sandstone Palace is distinguished for its architectural grandeur and luxuriously appointed suites and rooms. This Palace is now used as a Heritage Hotel capacitating 45 rooms.

The hotel is committed to keep the environment free from pollution and for that reason has set up a Sewage Treatment Plant for treating the domestic effluent generated.

The Sewage water discharged from the hotel rooms and kitchens is treated in the Sewage Treatment Plant located in the premises of the Hotel and is being reused for gardening purpose.

The sewage treatment plant is set up by En-vision Enviro Engineers Pvt Ltd., Surat and is designed on conventional activated sludge process.

The Sewage flow to the STP is 100 cubic meters per day.

Details of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Scheme
The sewage is first passed through a screen chamber to remove larger sized suspended and floating materials and collected in a collection tank.

From the collection tank, sewage is sent to the aeration tank where biological degradation of the contaminants is brought about by active biomass.

The overflow of the aeration tank is directed to the secondary clarifier, where the biomass is settled and removed as sludge. The overflow of secondary clarifier goes to the intermediate sump from where it is pumped to the dual media filter for further removal of dissolved and suspended constituents.

The treated sewage is collected in a treated sewage sump and utilized for gardening after dosing of sodium hypochlorite for disinfection.
