Friday 1st October,
1.In August 2010, Mr. Vivekanand Dhonde, Production Head, Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Srikant Lalladi, Supervising Producer, Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd. invited Shriji to appear in a special episode of MasterChef India. The eagerly awaited cookery show was finally launched on Star Plus on the 16th October 2010.

Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur took part in filming for India's MasterChef India as a special judge for the Royal Challenge, that is part of the 12th episode of the show. Royal challenge was exclusively shot at The Durbar Hall. Here the Rajwada Style cuisine was cooked by the contestants before being tasted and judged by Shriji accompanied by his ceremonial flag-bearers carrying lawazma - the insignia, banners and standards of the royal family. The 9 contestants who competed included 2 men and 7 women. This episode of the Show will be telecasted on the 27th November at 9pm on Star Plus.

The first season's host of India's MasterChef India is celebrity and Bollywood film Actor Akshay Kumar who was delighted by his first visit to Udaipur. At a lunch hosted by Shriji he met Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur and Ms. Padmaja Kumari Mewar of Udaipur.

Various sequences of the show were shot at Shambhu Niwas Palace, The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace, The Manek Chowk and The Zenana Mahal, The City Palace Complex. The film crew of nearly 150 people and media was headed by Mr. Rajiv Lakshman, Creative Head; Mr. Lalit Sharma, V.P. Production; Mr. Hitesh Bhatia, Series Director; Mr. Ajit Andhare, CEO Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd.
