Visit of Delegates from Strasbourg (France) to The City Palace Museum, Udaipur
A high-level delegation from Strasbourg visited Udaipur from the 24th to the 26th January. Delegates included Mr. Roland Ries, Mayor, from Strasbourg; Ms. Katia Kopel, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Ms. Geraldine Masetelli, Urban Planner, Strasbourg Urban Development Agency and Dominique Cassaz, Directorate of Culture. Their visit was to discuss their interest in forming a partnership with the City of Udaipur through a Decentralized Cooperation Agreement aimed at heritage-based sustainable urban development in Udaipur under the framework of Indian Heritage Cities Network (IHCN).

IHCN-Foundation members included Ms. Minja Yang and Dr. Shikha Jain, Dronah, Gurgaon also accompanied the French delegation.

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF) facilitated the visit of the delegates with Ms. Rajni Dangi, Chairperson Municipal Council Udaipur, Mr. Hemant Ghera IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Udaipur, Mr. Bal Mukund Asawa, Commissioner Municipal Council Udaipur and other government officials.

During their visit to Udaipur they visited The City Palace Museum where. Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Deputy Secretary, Administration, MMCF welcomed them and accompanied them on a tour of the Museum and The Crystal Gallery. Lunch was hosted at The Sunset Terrace restaurant, Fateh Prakash Palace by MMCF.

HRH Group of Hotels at the FITUR travel exhibition in Spain
FITUR (Feria Internacional de Turismo) is the first event in the yearly calendar of the international tourism industry. The exhibition took place over five days, from 19th January to 23rd January 2011 where a comprehensive gathering of tourism businesses and destinations from around the world met in Madrid to promote global tourism. FITUR 2011 was the 31st edition of this leading travel show and its ongoing growth has resulted in great dynamic energy within the domestic and international tourism industry.

During the exhibition, FITUR hosted a number of meetings, conferences, seminars and press conferences, where experts analyzed the present and future climate of the international tourism industry. More than 12,000 exhibiting companies, 150,000 trade participants and 65,000 visitors attended the exhibition.

Mr. Andrew Batey, Chief Operating Officer and Mr. Kunal Singh Chawra, Manager Sales travelled to Spain for the event to promote the aims and objectives of HRH Group of Hotels for the next season.

Visit of Mr. H.B. Saxena
On 29th January Mr. H.B. Saxena, Former Director, Maharana Mewar Educational Institutions visited Maharana Mewar Public School, Udaipur. Mr. Saxena addressed the students of class IXth and Xth. During an interactive session he talked to students about the significance of science as a subject and its importance in the school curriculum.
