Saturday 20th April,

1. Members of Kshtriya Kumawat Vikaas Munch called on Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur at The City Palace, Udaipur to unveil their recently published community book 'Kumawat Patrika'. Mr. Yogesh Kumawat, Mr. Govind Singh Tak and Mr. Mohan Tak were present for the occasion.

Monday 22nd April,

1. Mr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur attended the 1st International Monumental Stone Sculpture Symposium at Shilpgram, Udaipur. 21 national and international Sculptors participated and demonstrated their work of art. The symposium was inaugurated on 25th March. For one month the artists were given 60 stones to work with. Each stone provided to the artists valued between Rs. 1-1.50 Crores. The carved sculptures will be installed on important circuits in the city after the workshop concludes.

Events of the Month

Chaitra Navratra celebration at The City Palace, Udaipur
Chaitra Navratri was celebrated at the City Palace from 11th to 18th April. Chaitra Navratri, also known as Chait Navratras, as the name indicates is observed during the Chaitra month (March – April) in the traditional Hindu calendar used in North India. The festival is dedicated to the Goddess Shakti. It begins on the first day of the Chaitra month with sthapana and ends with asthami hawan and mataji prasthan on Ram Navami. Smt. Vijayraj Kumari Mewar of Udaipur performed rituals on the final day of the Navrata.
