Maharana Pratap Jayanti 2015 Celebration

In keeping with tradition, Maharana Pratap Jayanti was celebrated this year at the Rai Angan, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. Maharana Pratap's coloured sculpture was decorated with flowers. All visitors to the Museum were presented with a lapel pin depicting Maharana Pratap as a souvenir and prasad was distributed.

Celebrations also took place at the statue of Maharana Pratap at Pratap Prangan, Dabok Airport that was established by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation 6 years ago.

Restoration and Conservation of the cenotaphs of Rana Amar Singh I and Rana Sangram Singh II


Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur has taken up the project of academic documentation of restoration and conservation of the cenotaphs of Rana Amar Singh I and Rana Sangram Singh II, as they are an important part of the culture and heritage of Mewar as well as a unique collection to the architecture of Mewar. The Foundation is not only conserving these cenotaphs but also inviting students from Udaipur's leading architecture institute to observe, participate and learn the art of conservation of historical buildings, making it an educational and documentation process. The objective behind inviting these students, historians and research scholars is to educate the future generations about conservation so that one can preserve precious works of architecture in the long run.
