Book Exhibition at City Palace
Maharana Mewar Historical Publication Trust is exhibiting the books catering to the history of Rajasthan, Maharana Pratap, Meera Bai, Culture & Tradition, Religion, Hindi Literature, English Literature, Sports and many other genres at Chota Darikhana, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur. The exhibition was inaugurated on the occasion of International Museum Day. The entry to the exhibition is free from 10 am to 4.30 pm.

International Museum Day
International Museum Day was celebrated by The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, under the aegis of Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. The visiting tourist were first traditionally welcomed at the entrance, Ganesh Deodhi, to the Museum by applying a Tilak on the forehead by welcome girls. Other than this there was folk dance and music at Baadi Mahal in one part of the Museum and a terracota artist was engaged with his wheel for the tourist to try their hand at making pottery. There was also a puppet show which was a big attraction for the children at the Zenana Mahal. For the ladies there were two heena artists applying heena on interested visitors free of charge at Moti Chowk. 1900 visitors visited the Museum on this day and the proceeds from the sale of Museum entry and car parking tickets will be utilised for the development of Govt. Girl's Senior Secondary School, Jagdish Chowk, Udaipur.
