Rajasthan Day Celebration at The City Palace, Udaipur

The Rajasthan Day was celebrated at the City Palace Museum, Udaipur under the aegis of Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation with great pomp and show. As the festival of Gangaur was also on the same day, we intermixed the theme. A Mehandi five and dime was organized at Moti Chowk which became a lot popular and was a grand success. Among all, the visitors enjoyed a lot, especially the foreign tourists.

The Formation of the State of Rajasthan- exhibition at Zenana Mahal- It displayed the exclusive old maps of India, Mewar and Udaipur State, from the collection of Maharana of Mewar Research Institution. A collage of photographs of the Mewar Family related to the Formation of the State of Rajasthan, commemorating their contribution.

Food Court was a special charm, as after the two and half hour journey in the Museum, the tired visitors enjoyed the Sharbat Deli and the feast of Rooti Wrap stall a lot. Puppet Show was organized at the beautiful Baadi Mahal which is said to be a interim part of the culture of Rajasthan. The themes were traditional but carried the essence of social welfare for the society.

To depict the culture of Rajasthan co-existing with the festival of Gangaur a fusion of various folk dances of Rajasthan was performed at Chowmukha, Zenana Mahal.
