Exhibition of Photographs titled 'Maharanis: Women of Royal India'

Tasveer Art, Bangalore and Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation jointly organized an exhibition of photographs titled 'Maharanis: Women of Royal India' at Fateh Niwas Gallery, Zenana Mahal, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur from March 6th 2018 to April 8th 2018. More than 45 historic photographs of royal women from different parts of India were on display.

Visit of Ms. Anne Buddle from National Galleries of Scotland

On 10th March 2018 Ms. Anne Buddle, Head of Collections Management at National Galleries of Scotland took a look at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur's extensive collection of photographs when she was in town to attend the Maharana Mewar Foundation Annual Award ceremony.

Workshop on Preventive Conservation

The conservation team attended the Workshop on Preventive Conservation organised by Directorate of Museums and Zoos, Government of Kerala in association with Andrew Mellon Foundation, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg, The Netherlands & AusHeritageheld from 26th to 27th of March, 2018 at Institute of Government in Government Museum, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The coursework focused on all aspects of conservation problems facing cultural collections including risk management, pest management, storage and exhibitions. Participants were professionals involved with care of cultural collections from all over India. Ms. P.M Vasundhara, Ms. Anuja Mukherjee, Ms. Bhasha Shah, Conservators represented MMCF. The MMCF team also visited The Napier Museum and State Archivesat Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
