Charitable Dispensary and Medical Aid

Medical Aid is an important activity of the MMCF. Citizens of the region can apply to it for medical benefits and assistance. The Staff's yearly medical checkups are also organized by the Foundation. MMCF runs a charitable dispensary, which operates all year round. It aims to provide free medical advice and medicines to the needy that are unable to pay for medical treatment.

A total number of 656 patients were treated in the month of April 2018.

Lifelong Learning: International conclave organised by DK International Foundation, Gurgoan

An international conclave on 'Lifelong Learning' was organised by D.K. International Foundation, Gurgaon, and supported by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Udaipur, on April 21, 2018 at India International Centre, New Delhi. The day-long event was conceptualized by Dr Vinayshil Gautam, Chairman, D.K. International Foundation, to mark the ongoing birth centenary celebrations of Acharya Devendra Nath Sharma, one the foremost litterateurs and intellectuals of the 20th century.

The centenary celebrations of Acharya ji, which began in July 2017, are under a coordinating-cum-advisory Committee, of which the Union Health Minister, Mr JP Nadda is the patron. Its members include Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee of MMCF; Director, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan; Dean, Faculty of management Studies, Delhi University; Shri Anil Kaushik, Founder Editor, Business Manager; Secretary General, Scope among others.

The conclave was addressed by Mr NN Vohra, Governor of Jammu & Kashmir; Dr S Narayan, Former Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister and Senior Fellow at Singapore NU. Earlier Dr Vinayshil Gautam, Chairman of DK International Foundation and Founder Director IIM-Kozhikode; 1st Head of the Management Department, IIT-Delhi; Leader Consulting Team, IIM-Shillong; 1st Hony. Dean KPMG Academy, drew upon the rich life-experiences of Acharya Devendra Nath Sharma, as a lifelong learner himself.

The former Governor of Karnataka, Mr TN Chaturvedi, a highly distinguished civil servant himself, chaired the Plenary Session 1. Its key speakers were Mr S Haribhakti, Fellow Chartered Accountant & Chair, DH Consultants Pvt. Ltd.; Dr. Abdulhamied Al Romaithy, an intercultural trainer from Abu Dhabi UAE; Mr SK Bose, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation; and Prof SC Sharma, Director of IBS Gurugram. Mr Raju Mansukhani, consultant-MMCF, participated in this session.

Plenary Session 2 was chaired by Mr Mahendra Swarup, President AIDI. Its speakers were Mr Raghav Chandra IAS, Secretary to Government of India; Ms Rita Goh, Director of Learning & Development of ITD World from Penang, Malaysia; Mr Ajit Prasad, Director-IIM Lucknow; and Mr DV Shastri, Executive Director-GAIL.

In the valedictory session, Ms Ravneet Pahwa, Global Deputy Vice President & CEO South Asia, Deakin University of Australia was the guest of honour. Dr Kiran Karnik, former President of NASSCOM delivered the valedictory address. Dr. Dipti Tripathi, Secy. General, DK International Foundation, said in her vote of thanks that the New Delhi conclave was a milestone in the centenary celebrations. The next programme is scheduled for May 2019 in Agra.
