Developments in Maharana Mewar Special Library

Maharana Mewar Special Library (MMSL) is a world-class special library. By the end of this month MMSL has a collection of more than 34648 books of different varieties. Library has special collection of books on Literature, Religion, History, Arts, Zoology, Sports and General Geography about different part of India and globe and rare collection of books on Mewar dynasty

17 new books were received in this month and all the books were processed in Accession Register. Classification of the books was done by Dewey decimal classification 19th Rev. Edition, Cataloguing (AACR II) and Bibliography; details uploaded in Library housekeeping software. Libsys and Eternal Mewar web site http://eternalmewar.in/mmsl. Stamping, tagging and scanning were also performed for all these books.

The details and images of important books which were added to the library in the month of August 2018 were Aziatische kunst : Indian miniature paintings at the Rajksmuseum and 50 Glorious sessions, Rebel Sultans : The deccan from Khilji to Shivaji, 10 Commandments for family business , You can heal your life, Raja Deen Dayal : Artistphotographer in 19th century India, Bharati: Different dimensions of Indology, Bharat me sampradayikta ki samasya evam hindu pratirodh ka itihas, Half a flight, Emperor Aurangzeb and destruction of Temples, conversions and jizya, Fortified cities in Ancient India, The critical triangle : India Britain and Turkey: 1908-1924, Bayana: A Concept of Historical Archaeology, Devil's Advocate: The untold story.

Heritage Conservation and Promotion

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk

Ahar Udaipur Heritage Walk was an initiative taken forward by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur with the support from Udaipur Municipal Corporation. MMCF in its Outreach Programmes has encouraged many such events. As per the ongoing initiatives the 'Ahar' Udaipur Heritage Walk was organised on 4th August 2018. MMCF's goal is to be a world leader in heritage conservation and community inclusion. The Foundation often has to generate its own benchmarks for this goal. MMCF is keen to share its best-practice and conservation experience that has an ambitious knowledge transfer initiative in addition to its implementable conservation programme. The walk was attended by 5 people.
