Visit of Dr. B.R. Mani

Dr. B.R. Mani, renowned field archaeologist, numismatist and art critic visited The City Palace Museum with his wife on 20th November, 2019. Dr. Mani is the Director General at National Museum, New Delhi, and Vice-Chancellor of National Museum Institute, New Delhi. He has also served as Additional Director General in the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) until April 2015, and has directed more than 19 excavation projects in the country.

He visited the Mardana Mahal, Zenana Mahal, Amar Mahal Gallery: Splendour of Silver - Reflecting the finest of Silver smithy, and was briefed about the conservation works.

Visit of Dr. (Ms.) Mahrukh Tarapor and Mr. Neil MacGregor

Dr. (Ms.) Mahrukh Tarapor, Art Consultant and Mr. Neil MacGregor, OM, AO, FSA , a British Art Historian and Former Museum Director, British Museum visited The City Palace Museum on 20th November, 2019. They were greeted by Dr. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary – Development, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. They were briefed about the conservation work of the armour section, paintings and shown their interest in Amar Mahal Gallery: Splendour of Silver - Reflecting the finest of Silver smithy.

Visit of Lieutenant General Alok Kler

Lieutenant General Alok Kler, VSM, GOC-in-C South West Command accompanied by his family visited the City Palace Museum on 26th November 2019 where he was greeted by Mr. Bhupendra Singh Auwa, Administrator in Chief, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. They were briefed about the history and architectural details of the palace. The guests visited Amar Mahal Gallery: Splendour of Silver - Reflecting the finest of Silver Smithy, Saraswati Vilas Gallery: Symphony of Mewar - A Royal Collection of Musical Instruments, Gokul Niwas Gallery: The Curtain Raiser - The Mewar Regalia Textiles and Costumes Exhibition and The Durbar Hall Sabhagaar.
