whole month and if necessary refer them to other specialties for surgeries like cataract, dental care; to provide monthly pension to widow so that they can fulfil their very basic needs; to provide scholarship stationeries and uniforms to children of young widows so that they can continue their education and to provide skill development training to young capable widows so that they can earn their livelihood. The trust is inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekanand: 'Daridra Devo Bhava' (To serve the poor is to serve God). Since 2004, SVSN has aimed to serve the underprivileged by economic empowerment of the rural population through innovative training in agriculture and animal husbandry; infrastructure improvement of schools; healthcare delivery and awareness training and social awareness against orthodox practices such as child marriage, dowry, etc.

SVSN organized a free medical health Check-up camp at Theosophical Society, Udaipur on 29th December 2019 where 165 widows attended and benefitted from the camp. Dr. Maina Jain examined the patients. Due to extreme winter free blankets were distributed sponsored by Mahaveer Maitri Group. The free medical camp in includes eye, sugar and blood pressure check-ups, surgeries and free distribution of full course of medicines for the month for these widows.

Tata Trusts Scholarship: Level 2 Advance Course at the 5th Film Preservation and Restoration Workshop India 2019

Mr. Prashant Lohar, Archives Executive and Conservation Technician, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, as recipient of a Tata Trusts Scholarship, participated in the FIAFapproved advance training course at the 5th Film Preservation and Restoration Workshop India 2019; an initiative of Film Heritage Foundation and International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) that was held at Hyderabad from 8th to 15th December 2019, at the iconic Annapurna Studios

The workshop was organized in association with The Film Foundation's World Cinema Project, The Criterion Collection, San Francisco Silent Film Festival, and The Academy of Motion Picture, Arts & Sciences, U.S.A.; L'Immagine Ritrovata Film Restoration & Conservation, and Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna, Italy; Cinemateca Portuguesa - Museu do Cinema, I.P., Portugal; Bundesarchiv (German Federal Archives), and Arnold & Richter Cine Technik (ARRI), Germany; The National Film Archive - Audiovisual Institute (FINA), Poland; Haghefilm Digitaal, Netherlands; AV Preservation by reto.ch, Switzerland; International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT / IFTA), Ireland; and Institut national de l'audiovisuel (ina), France. The sessions were hosted by renowned actor Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna and his wife, Mrs. Amala Akkineni.
