World Photography Day

The Museum understands that much of its audiences will prefer to experience the Museum from the comfort of their homes. It also recollects how important World Photography Day, is to its audiences. With this understanding, on the occasion of World Photography Day, 19th August 2020, The Museum made a selection of its images available to the audience on the virtual platforms of Instagram and the website. The thought behind this exercise was to familiarize the audiences with the various parts of the Museum, or have them revisit these places, and engage with the spaces. During the course of the pandemic, the context of the camera has substantially changed; this was used to the advantage. The blog post on the website provided 20 Virtual Background Ideas for video conferencing, and on Instagram, the Green Screen Filter was utilized; enabling viewers to take their preferred shots of the Museum as virtual backgrounds.
