Campus Bird Count

Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation permitted the members of WWF- India Udaipur Division to conduct 4th Big Bird Count Program on 21.02.2021 for educational purposes and survey. The team was granted permission to visit the premises and compile and take the census for compiling bird species within the premises. The team included Dr. Satish Sharma, Retd. Rajasthan Forest Services and Bird Expert, Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, DD PRO Udaipur and Bird Expert, Mr. Suhel Majboor, Retd. DCF, Rajasthan Forest Services and Expert, Mr. Vinay Dave Bird Lover and Expert, Mr. Sharad Agarwal Bird Expert, Mrs. Pushpa Khameshra, Stamp Exhibitionist and Birder, and Mr. Arun Soni, Officer In-Charge, WWF - India, Udaipur Division (Program Coordinator).

Art and Culture Online: The Nuances of Digital Content Creation

Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator represented MMCF in an interactive workshop on Nuances of Digital Content Creation, organized by DAG and ReReeti, on 1st February 2021. The session looked at DAG Museum's progress in the digital space and the multitude of experiments in content creation. Participants were engaged on Jamboard wherein they articulated what it meant to be digital and how it differed from the physical, they streamlined goals and proposed possibilities in terms of online activities, and also worked on building their digital persona for their respective organizations.

Pitch Right: A Workshop on Sponsorship and Funding

The workshop was organized by The ArtX Company and the British Council, in partnership with Arts & Culture Resources India (ACRI), on 25th February 2021. The session worked towards breaking down what goes into creating a solid sponsorship and funding pitch. It brought together experts from the areas of crowd funding, fundraising and brand sponsorship, including Mr. Illy Jaffar, Managing Director, Kinetic; Mr. Jay Shah, Vice-President, Head - Cultural Outreach, Mahindra Group; and Ms. Anshulika Dubey, Founder and COO, Wishberry. The small cohort worked in teams to examine the building blocks of a sponsorship or funding proposal, and developed an approach to an imagined festival, and presented a pitch to the jury. Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator participated in this workshop.

Partnership with The Museum Memories Project

MMCF initiated the partnership with Museum Memories Project at the year end of 2020, with the purpose of reaching out to global audiences in the pandemic world; to share hitherto unknown personal memories and stories in connection with the museum, in order to generate a greater interest amongst audiences, and to encourage them to visit as also to provide a platform for new narratives or voices to be heard from the Museum.

The City Palace Museum, Udaipur was the first to participate in 'Museum Musafir: A Museum Insider's Tale'; an initiative of the Museum Memories Project. During the course of this partnership, the Museum staff including Mr. Tarun Sukhwal (Museum Manager), Mr. Chandra Shekhar Vaishnav (Attendant), Mr. Ronak Rathore (Project Site Engineer), Mr. Neeraj Soni (Visitor Liaison Executive), Dr. Hansmukh Seth (Associate Curator) and Ms. Chelsea Santos (Assistant Curator) shared their stories of their favourite artefacts, spaces, moments and memories from the Museum; revealing interesting behind-the-scenes.
