Subsequently, on 20th March 2021, a live Question and Answer session was organized wherein participants could interact with the concerned staff and pose their questions to them. The session was conducted by Ms. Poulomi Das, Founder, Museum Memories Project.

Museum based research project by Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun

Ms. J. Bhaalasaraswati, M.Sc. student of Heritage Conservation and Management at the WII, Dehradun conducted an extensive research project at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur from 24th March 2021- 30th March 2021.

Titled 'Pre and Post Covid-19 transformation in the Financial and Marketing practices of Museums: An analysis of the Government Museum Chennai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai, and The City Palace Museum, Udaipur', the academic project looked at data collection, investigation, analysis and report writing. Their research focused on marketing strategies, visitor engagement and perceptions, and the financial position of the concerned Museums. This was achieved by interacting with Museum personnel and visitors, filling out of questionnaires, as also accessing previous records and documents of the Museum, both digital and physical.

Ms. Bhaalasaraswati was joined at the Museum by her colleague, Ms. Varsha Sridhar. The study is supposed to help the Museum analyze the visitor's perception towards its marketing strategy while also providing it suggestions on visitor expectations from the Museum.. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary, MMCF Development, Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, and Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator from the museum assisted them for their research related queries.

International Webinar on Indus Civilization

The University of Kerala, Department of Archaeology organized a 4 days long International webinar on Indus Civilization from 16th March 2021- 19th March 2021. Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Associate Curator, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur represented the Museum in this webinar and presented his research on 'Harappan Seals and Script material from Kanmer: A Harappan Site in Kachchh, Gujarat, India'.

Certificate course in Conservation Science Training and Research Program (CoSTAR)

Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator, was shortlisted and selected for the first module of the CoSTAR program (April 2021 - June 2021) that uses an inter-disciplinary approach with the aim of bridging the gap between Art History, Museology, Art Conservation and Conservation Science, and works towards strengthening the practice of Conservation Science in India.
