Ms. Santos and her fellow course members will receive a certificate, on completion, from the organizers, namely the Lakshmi Mittal and Family, South Asia Institute and the Harvard Art Museums at Harvard University, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS), Mumbai.

Visitor Experience Program ranked 1st place

As part of her fellowship on Museum Collections and Visitor Engagement, with the Center for Art & Archaeology (CA&A) of the American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS), Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator had the opportunity of engaging with experts from across the globe, and professionals from within the Museum field in India. Under the guidance of Dr. Madhuvanti Ghosh, she curated a virtual Visitor Experience Program that ranked 1st amongst the cohort. She was felicitated at the certificate ceremony, held on 23rd April 2021. Her program looked at enhanced visitor experience, using The City Palace Museum, Udaipur's Silvery Gallery as an example. The process involved extensive research, discussions, and back-end execution of her ideas. Ms. Santos explored fresh ideas of display, multisensory experiences, education and outreach initiatives, access provisions and marketing and PR, that can be looked into and implemented.

Panel Discussion on The Future of Museums

In accordance with ICOM's larger theme of The Future of Museums: Recover and Re-imagine, the Department of Museology, Faculty of Fine Arts, The Maharaja of Sayajirao University of Baroda, organized a panel discussion, on 18th May 2021. Dr. Mayank Gupta, Deputy Secretary, MMCF Development, was invited on the panel and represented the Museum. He was joined by Dr. Kaustuv Saikia, Mr. Arun Menon, and Ms. Merrin Anil. The session was moderated by Prof. (Dr.) Ambika Patel, President, ICOM, India, Dean of Students, Faculty of Fine Arts, The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda.
