Workshop, understanding to cater Museum's audience with special needs

MMCF has always been working towards providing and enhancing facilities for the guests with special needs, In order to better understand the Museum's audience, and curate content, and engaging educational and outreach programmes for the Museum, especially for those with special needs, Ms. Chelsea Santos, Assistant Curator, The City Palace Museum attended a series of International online certified training workshops, courses, etc. at Eblity, and Autism Wales, from March 2021 - August 2021, and further thereon.

Virtual Exhibitions by Museum Learning Hub

Museums have become increasingly digital and virtual exhibitions, a necessity. To upskill, Assistant Curator, Ms. Chelsea Santos represented MMCF and attended a three day technical workshop on Virtual Exhibitions, organized by the Museum Learning Hub (MLH).The MLH is a nationwide initiative organized by the six U.S. regional museum associations and dedicated to providing free, self-paced training resources for small museums. As a part of the Digital Empowerment Project, the Hub provides digital media and technology capacity-building programs and resources.The Technical Workshops attended by Ms. Santos were conducted on 12th, 19th and 26th August 2021. The sessions were facilitated by Dr Rene G. Cepeda, Mr. Adriel Luis, and Dr. Nattrice R. Gaskins, respectively. The topics covered included 'Strategies, Project Workflow and Efficient Design', 'Web-Based Curatorial Approaches', and 'Exhibition Design in Virtual Environments!'

Development in Maharana Mewar SpecialLibrary

Maharana Mewar Special Library (MMSL) is an excellent resource for scholars and researchers. It has a collection of more than 35615 books on different subjects. The Library has special collection of books dedicated to Literature, Religion, History, Arts, Zoology, Sports and General Geography of different parts of India and the globe, and a rare collection of books on the Mewar dynasty.

24 new books were received in the month of July 2021 and all the books were processed in Accession Register. The classification was done by Dewey decimal classification; 19th Rev. Edition, Cataloguing (AACR II) and Bibliography. The details were uploaded in the Library housekeeping software, Libsys, and on the Eternal Mewar website http://eternalmewar.in/mmsl. Stamping, tagging and scanning were also performed on all these books.

Some of the books that were received in the months of July 2021 are Rawal Mal Rupade Rani :(Drishya abhivyakti), Rana ke pran,The Peddler of stories, Path karo satnam ka satya ik tu hi nirankar, Sare jahan se achchha Hindosta hamara, Malati kayva kunj, Himalaya ka sandesh (Khand kavya), 24000 Din : Sahas-sangarsh-safalata.
