Paper presentation and felicitation at the Rajasthan Archaeology and Epigraphy Congress

Rajasthan Archaeology and Epigraphy Congress organized its 3rd session at SKD University, Hanumangarh, on 23rd24th December 2021. Associate Curator, Dr. Hansmukh Seth, was invited as an MMCF representative. He presented a paper on the Arms collection of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur titled 'Development of Weapons in the Mewar region- A brief Intro'. Additionally, he was felicitated with a Certificate of the Best Paper for 'Formation of Sculpture gallery of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur,' presented last year in the conference at Bikaner, in February 2020. A trip to Kalibanga, a Harappan site in North Rajasthan, was also arranged by the organizers.

Unveiling The Palace Calendar - 2022

Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation unveiled the Palace Calendar at Shambhu Calendar - 2022 Niwas Palace, Udaipur on 10th December 2021.

Maharana Mewar Historical Publication Trust has published this yearly calendar on the theme of "Founder of Udaipur: Maharana Udai Singh, The 53rd Custodian of Mewar", a compilation of his work and developments.

The trust has dedicated this calendar to Maharana Udai Singh in celebration to his 500th birth anniversary. The calendar depicts the historical facts with photographs of Maharana Udai Singh.

Development in Maharana Mewar Special Library

Maharana Mewar Special Library (MMSL) is an excellent resource for scholars and researchers. It has a collection of more than 35667 books on different subjects. The Library has special collection of books dedicated to Literature, Religion, History, Arts, Zoology, Sports and General Geography of different parts of India and the globe, and a rare collection of books on the Mewar dynasty

2 new books were received in the month of November 2021 and both the books were processed in Accession Register. The classification was done by Dewey decimal classification; 19th Rev. Edition, Cataloguing (AACR II) and Bibliography. The details were uploaded in the Library housekeeping software, Libsys, and on the Eternal Mewar website http://eternalmewar.in/mmsl. Stamping, tagging and scanning were also performed on all these books.

Books that were purchased and added in the library archive of MMCF, in the month of November 2021 including Trailblazers of Rajasthan, I Too Had a Dream: Verghese Kurien.
