Book Fair to celebrate World Book Day

On the occasion of World Book Day 23rd April 2022, Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation organised 2 day Book Fair at Laxmi Chowk, The Zenana Mahal. The fair was organized to reach out to the tourists and students visiting the Museum and enrich their knowledge about the history, culture, heritage of Udaipur.

Maharana Mewar Historical Publications Trust, Udaipur; Chirag Publication, Udaipur; Rajasthani Granthalaya, Jodhpur participated in fair and showcased their published books. The publication showcased booked on history of Udaipur and Rajasthan, Culture, Maharana Pratap, Meera Bai and many other. The fair concluded on 24th April 2022.

Visit of members from United Service Institution of India (USI), New Delhi

Squadron Leader Rana TS Chhina (Retd.), Secretary and Editor of Centre for Armed Forces Historical Research (CAFHR) and Ms. Shefali Oberoi, Research Assistant at the Centre for Armed Forces Historical Research visited The City Palace Museum, Udaipur on 27th April 2022. USI is a national security and defense services think tank based in New Delhi, India. It aims as the furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the defense services. USI operates centres for research in various areas of national security. The USI had established a Chair on Maharana Pratap for this purpose. The focus of the visit is on Military History, especially pertaining to the 15th through 20th centuries.
