In this follow-up visit, Ms. Mukherjee along with the Museum Conservation team, Mr. S. Giri Kumar and Ms. Bhasha Shah took the guests for a museum tour showcasing the Royal Mewar collection displayed in galleries and explained the various conservation initiatives undertaken at the Museum. The highlight of the tour was the visit to the Conservation laboratory. This visit proved to be fruitful for mutual exchange of information, knowledge and discussions on future prospects for collaboration.

Anniversary celebrations of Maharanas

605th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Maharana Kumbha was celebrated on the 14th January 2023 by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar - dated Makar Sakranti Vikram Samvat 1474 (Gregorian calendar 1417 CE). The 47th custodian of the house of Mewar, a versatile ruler, he gave patronage to art in Mewar. He was also erudite scholar, musician and expert in architecture.

The 139th birth anniversary of Maharana Bhupal Singh was celebrated on 16th February 2023 by Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation. This is according to the Vikram Samvat Calendar - dated Phalgun Krishna Ekadashi Vikram Samvat 1940 (Gregorian calendar 1884 CE. A lamp was lit along with chanting of prayers and garlands on his portrait and his historical information was displayed for the visiting tourists. He was instrumental in Agriculture reforms, employment generation, health care. Intermediate college was opened in Udaipur for higher education for the students after high school studies.

Instrumental performance at Baadi Mahal

MMCF has always been a patronage in supporting the artists and musicians of Mewar in preserving the rich and cultural heritage of the region. Time and again the trust has come up with activities to promote these artists. The trust initiated weekly performance of artist at the Badi Mahal, The City Palace, Udaipur. These performances are witnessed by tourist visiting the palace.

On the 07th January 2023 Mr. Nandlal Gandharv performed on Santoor, an artist from Udaipur, he is proficient in playing Jaltarang and Santoor. He began learning Jaltarang under the inspiring guidance of his uncle, Shri Narayan Lal Gandharv. He had been playing Jaltarang and Santoor from the past 10 years now.
